Free teeth whitening

I was googling around a bit for teeth whitening. Most sites contain products which range from $20 to $100 which is very expensive.

And just my luck I found a great free resource! Professional dentist whitening or whitening kits you can buy, only use the same principle. They use light acids to corrode away the stains. Also, some cheap products only bleach your teeth. How ugly!

So, here's my recipe for teeth whitening: 2 teaspoons hydrogen peroxide, 3 teaspoons baking soda and 2 teaspoons aloe vera. You can additionally add mint or a bit of toothpaste to take away the bad taste. Mix into a paste and gently rub it on your teeth and keep it there for about 2 minutes.

Make sure you don't use it more than once a week because baking soda is abrasive and it might "scratch"damage your teeth if you use it excessively.

I was first worried about putting hydrogen peroxide in my mouth but I did some research and I found out that's there's nothing to worry about since it's a very weak acid and, it is also sometimes used in some forms of alternative therapy.

By the way, aloe vera is great against dental plaque and bad mouth breath.

Let me know what you think :)

haha yeah that scares me too, Hydrogen Peroxide in my mouth  have you done it before? You should be the guinea pig, try it on yourself first then tell me how it goes.

Already tried it a couple of times (with visible results!). I did get a weird feeling in my gum when using it but it went away after I flushed it out. If you're worried about accidentally swallowing hydrogen peroxide, don't be. Do a Google search for "hydrogen peroxide therapy" and you'll discover it's widely used in alternative medicine.

So, this is not a tested formula? Sounds scary.

When you say two teaspoons aloe vera you mean what type? Gel, juice, concentrated powder...?

Thanks, I would like to try it.

Nothing scary about it, because there's nothing which can do you harm.

What I meant is two teaspoons of freshly squeezed aloe vera gel.

But you need to have a very big Aloe to get that freshly squeezed teaspoons right? Mine is almost dead and small now. The commercial juice is not fine?

Thanks again.

Ofcourse it's fine. But obviously the freshly squeezed gel is more potent :)
