Hello all

I need a bit of advice, I have real problems with my bowel and digestion am on mega amounts of senna as if I dont take this I dont go at all dont even feel like I need to, I get extremely bloated cant eat properly and digestion very very slow. I have been seen by doctors who have said part of my bowel is not working but they cant do anything more than prescribe strong laxatives, I feel rough every day with nausea and pressure from bloating I am starting to use aloe vera juice one where the aloin has been removed, I needed to try something to ease the discomfort but my question is can I still use the senna tablets as well as the aloe juice as it doesnt have the aloin in it. If I dont take the senna I may well be in more of a problem but wanted to know if any of you guys knew if both could be taken together.

Thank you so much its nice to be on board

look forward to chatting

Hi Mitch and welcome to the forums.

Sorry for the late reply but as I'm no doctor, I e-mailed my friend, Dr. Han van de Braak, the maker of Aloeride pills.

Here is his reply:

Hi Robert, nice to hear from you, I have recently written and ebooklet on constipation (hence somebody using loads of senna) and from this hyperlink you can download it http://bit.ly/dTxaq

Yes, they can be taken together

I hope this helps :)

Hi Mr AloeVera

Thank you so much :) for taking the time to research this for me its so helpful thanks again

Iv only been taking the Aloe vera juice 8 days but Im sure there is an improvement already, Im not rushing to any judgement as Iv been Ill for some time and my bowel is in a mess so will probably take a while to sort it out but even if I cant cure things if the juice will at least releive me of the great discomfort I would be so greatful

Best Wishes
Michelle

Some people suffering from IBS, Crohn's, constipation have been taking aloe vera all their life.

I take aloe vera almost all year around. To prevent colds in winter, and keep my skin healthy, shiny and tanned in summer.

I take it when my muscles are sores, I put it on my face if I cut myself while shaving. If my shoe gives me a blister... aloe vera again.

Aloe vera is a stimulant of the uterus. Hence it is given in cases of painful menstruation. I see no way how it could negatively interact with menstruation, but, remember that it's not recommended during pregnancy because, as I said above, it does stimulate the uterus.

Mr AloeVera Once again thnks for your response, sounds like its a good one for medicine cabinet all round :D

I do suffer from extremely painful menstrual cycles and thught it would be the case that it would do good rather than harm, so I will continue on with it during this time and see. No chance of being preggie  and good to hear I can take it long term as its a long term condition I have.

Michell,
Keep drinking your Aloe Juice, in time I think you will see results.
For me (I drink Aloe Vera Juice daily) when I first started drinking it, I wondered if it was making a difference.
It was, it took about 3 weeks before I noticed that I was feeling great. Digestion issues for me are a thing of the past.
Another thing that is important is that you check the label, you will see that some brands are better than others. (Buying Aloe Juice at Wall Mart...Beware)
Something I always look for is the IASC label or logo (International Aloe Science Councel) http://www.iasc.org/ and if it is NOT certified by them I don't touch it.

I am a little Biased, but I drink the Miracle of Aloe 100% Aloe Juice Aloe Beverage.
It's certified and after you get used to it, Taste GOOD!
it's here http://www.miracleofaloe.com/Real-Aloe-100-Pure-Aloe-Juice/productinfo/288/

I hope this has helped. :D
