Aloe barbadensis miller = the common aloe vera.

The leaves are thick and fleshy, and range from green to grey-green. The margin of the leaf has small white teeth.

Thank you for having responded to my post. I have found that you are one of a most knowledable person about aloe vera and beyond that you are willing to share your thoughts to others. Hats off to you.

I would like to add a comment to your last posted and correct me if I am wrong. Aloe barbadensis miller has a stronger and distinctive smell compare to the rest of it's family.

You have mentioned in one of your post that Aloe arborescens lowers the blood glucose level, does barbadensis has the same effect?.

Yes, you're right! I did a bit of research for scientific studies online and made a new forum thread about it: aloe-vera-can-lower-glucose-level-t204.html

Feel free to contribute with anything! It's a forum and it's okay to ask questions :ugeek:
