Yup, it's aloe barbadensis miller. From what I see it's been grown outside in a pretty humid climate. :ugeek:

Hi,
how can you tell that it was from a humid area?

I'm curious as I live in hot, humid, Thailand.

Thanks. :D

As you can see, the leafs are light green with pale spots, while the root has a reddish look. ;)

Somebody help, i cant seem to identify my aloes, i got two types, first are the light green leaf, white spotted ( but spots seem to vanish as they mature) and second, a dark-green to grayish green, with fine powder on leaves, both seem to have the same physical attributes. However the mature dark-green is completely devoid of spots when matured (pups has spots though).
Our family uses these aloes to treat various problems from skin to internal illness (UTI, stomach problems) i tried both types orally and were still alive till now... I presume the light green spotted aloe is the "chinensis" and the dark unspotted is the "barbadensis" as what i found out from searching the web. Does anyone have other credible opinions? Thanks and GO ALOE!!!
