With age and over use, the synovial fluid which provides the lubrication of the joints shrinks and the cartilage "wears out", this becomes painful when the lubrication is so dim that bone to grind against bone. This is called osteo arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis is of different cause. It's caused by our anti-bodies. For unknown reasons, these anti bodies attack the synovial lining. And again, as in the case described above, the cartilage "wears out".

Aloe vera contains anti-inflammatory agents such as Bradykininase, salicylates, phyto-steroids and vitamins A,B,C and E which act as powerful anti-oxidants. The high mineral content of aloe vera, needed for enzyme reactions in the joint, allow the joint to heal quicker. Aloe vera contains high levels of glucosamine which is required for cartilage formation.

The anti-inflammatory effects of Aloe Vera relieve sore and inflamed joints. The lignin content in Aloe Vera allows for deep penetration through the skin.

Here's how you can apply aloe vera for treating arthritis.

Clean the skin over the affected joint and apply Aloe Vera cream or jelly topically. Gently massage in for 20 seconds and repeat the process. Oral ingestion of Aloe vera pills will provide faster healing.

To deal with conditions that have a longer duration of pain, for example, Osteo Arthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis, it is important to maintain a regular ingestion of Aloe Vera twice a day. It can take up to 2-3 months to produce beneficial effect.

Absolutely, Aloe vera helps with arthritis in several ways. Number one it is anti-inflamatory and it also has natural pain killer properties. Obviously Aloe Vera is NOT A DRUG, but it works.
Now, in regards to Arthritis and aloe I recommend to check out this website:
http://www.aloeveraforarthritis.com (Aloe for arthritis) - it is a unique formula with following ingridients:
- MSM
- Chondroitin
- Extra Vitamin C
- Glucosamine

All these elements are found in our body, but very often we don't have it enough. What happens is that our soft tissue wears, tears and becomes thinner and thinner, and finally it wears out. So, to supplement it - Aloe Vera for arthritis is great. I recommend it to everyone to try it because they offer 100% money back guarentee.
