Hello and welcome! I'm your host

Hello, my name is Mike and I started this forum out of enthusiasm for this lovely plant. It just seems to be everywhere I go and I've growing it and have been using it all my life.

My first memory of aloe vera goes back to when I was a little boy, my mother used to put butter and aloe vera on my burns. I don’t remember how I got those burns in the first place (except that one time when I touched the stove she cooked on), but I can remember the pain.

My mom used to grow aloe vera around the house and give it to friends. Perhaps that's why I've been growing aloe vera all my life.

I hope this forum can become an online community for people who associate aloe vera with nature, living green, beauty, prosperity and health.

So, what's your story? What brings you here? :)

Welcome Prashant.
Yes, it can be planted at home. Be sure to read the forum called "Growing aloe vera". Now, regarding extraction; you simply open the aloe vera leaf and squeeze out the gel. If you're looking for industrial extraction check out this thread: industrially-processing-and-extracting-pure-aloe-vera-liquid-t117.html
